Embark working with Church schools

Embark is a multi-academy trust that is very proud to work in partnership with Derby Diocese. Our articles of association are based on the minority model which means that we are able to work with voluntary controlled schools and 25% of our governance at all levels are from the church.

We are committed to ensure that all our church schools keep their distinct Christian character and support them to do this. We are delighted to spread this ethos throughout the trust.

Our Primary School Improvement lead, Philip Searson, was an experienced headteacher at a church school and will ensure all our church schools retain and strengthen their distinctly Christian character through both worship and embedding the Church of England Christian values.  Philip will work very closely with any church schools within the trust to provide support with regard to improvement targets working towards SIAMS inspection.

Our Trust Leader is also committed to the Christian faith and is an active member of All Saints Church, Breadsall and sits on the PCC committee.

Our core beliefs are Family, Integrity, Teamwork and Success and we very much welcome schools from the church family into our trust who share our values.

The trust will involve the Diocese in any key leadership appointments of church schools.
